Muslim call to adopt Mecca time

Should we also do the same to the French when they hold their Paris Meridian day?
So, we have some scholars and scientists in Qatar (which is part of the Arabian peninsular, not Britain, last time I checked) suggesting that they use Mecca time rather than GMT (hmm, would that be like LA using PST, or NY using EST?), and a non-muslim in Britain (that'd be you) trying to stir up trouble, but somehow it's the muslims in Britain who are doing it...

I liked the bit where they stated "A prominent cleric, Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawy, said modern science had at last provided evidence that Mecca was the true centre of the Earth"
I think they may have to dig down about 4000 miles, through the mantle, somehow get through the molten liquid outer core, until the hit the solid iron inner core to reach the "true centre of the Earth".
Salt, of, pinch, a, with, taken - obviously either a slow news day, or someone in the Beeb knows what sort of stories Ginge is on the look-out for.
