Re: No more mosques' says Synod member
There's nothing anyone can do to stop the building of mosques' and the influx of immegrants without causing riots or a cival war even. Times they are a changing and changing fast.

Re: No more mosques' says Synod member
I would say to say something, concerning this item, and sad to say, l agree that we should do something, prevent this mosque situation, getting out of hand, it is true, what some members have said, before we know it, we are going to be outnumbered, and that we are going to have no go area's for the non muslim community, and this is sad, they arrive in this country, and are welcomed with open arms, with the benefits that we provide, and yet they state that we should abide by there rules, even certain schools state that schools should now bring into play various languages ( when l was at school, it was French & German), now languages are endless, and we should not have to do that, we have a very large mosque in Hounslow, and would you believe it, there is another one, about quarter of a mile away, so why can't they travel to Southall, which is just up the road, and use the ground to build council housing, l don't know what other people think.

I'm not against other ethnicitys per se but I think they shouldn't get concessions just because of their faith or where they come from...and they seem to be getting just that!

Re: No more mosques' says Synod member
I thought this thread was saying 'no more mosquitos'. Imagine my disappointment. L'il critters make my Mexican holidays a misery.
Anyway back on topic - I know little about Islam, but do they need a mosque to pray or can it be done anywhere, like Christians?

How?
Please explain your misunderstanding of the situation.
Just like any other building, planning permission has to be saught and obtained before something can be constructed.

Re: No more mosques' says Synod member
So someone in the general synod doesn't like mosques what a shocker do any of us really care and while i am at it ginge how about something a little more balanced from you at some point would make a refreshing change. Stopping people building places of worship ok i will go along with that for a min so lets extend it to all faiths as an atheist i dislike all religions so lets please me, see how stupid it is when you shout to stop building one thing to please someone you end up having to stop building a whole lot of things very silly idea. Mosques are not the problem the problem as you will find in all areas of life is some of the prats that use them same can be said of churches, pertrol stations and public toilets. Shall we stop building them all just on the off chance it will solve a problem nah. Maybe this woman could go away now and let the adults talk about this in a more constructive way.

Muslims are supposed to pray 5 times a day, and where posiible in congregation. Theoretically it can be done anywhere, but it would be hard to get 300 odd people into my front room in London for Friday prayers.
You dont need a mosque to pray in, but there are more rewards for doing so in a mosque.

A prominent evangelical member of the Church of England’s General Synod has called for a ban on the building of any more mosques in Britain.

Well done, people are eventually speaking the truth now that they know that the Fascist NU Labour are out.

“You build a mosque and then what happens? You have Muslim people moving into that area, all the shops will then become Islamic, all the housing will then become Islamic and as the Bishop of Rochester has so wisely pointed out, that will be a no-go area for anyone else.
|
Yes, this is very true. We have had a mosque built just recently near me and my area has turned from a fairly mixed race village to a Asian only village, with the minority of a few other races. PS THIS IS NOT RACIST, IT'S TELLING THE TRUTH.

Dr Michael Nazir-Ali enraged the Muslim community and received death threats against his family when he warned recently that parts of Britain had become no-go areas for non-Muslims.

And this is from the Religion of Peace, remember!!! LOL

Well, not really. Although it's better to go to the mosque (because it creates a sense of unity and equality), the main thing is that you pray, and you pray because you want to, not because you have to. Prayer is when you talk to God. It doesn't matter where you are, as long as you talk to him, because he's listening to you everywhere and he is omnipresent.

Surely they have a home, they can pray there.

"Yeah like, poluting our cities with the horrible buildings." As opposed to people like you polluting these forums with complete crap. Sorry if the BNP or any group like them are ever to get anywhere with the majority of the electorate your going to have to do way way more then you are doing at the minute. My spelling and grammar are not the best but BNP members have truly abysmal english skills which i find strange for people with such a rabid love of the nation.
Either come on here with points that can be debated and argued intelligently or don't make any comment at all as coming on and making knee jerk statements is not really working for you.
