RIP Brian Wilde
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7306954.stm
Loved in him Last of the Summer Wine and Porridge, great actor, he will be missed, but as he starred in two all time great sitcoms I doubt that he will ever be forgot.

Re: RIP Brian Wilde
A great actor who created one of the all time great characters.

Re: RIP Brian Wilde
I thought he died a few years back??
Didn't he used to be in Porridge too, as the gentle Prison Officer?
RIP I liked him.

Re: RIP Brian Wilde
When a tv actor takes on a part, probabely as a supporting actor, and does it with superb style, and humour, it is that part that makes the programme, and makes the star of the glow, in Porridge and LOSW, Brian played that part so brilliantly, l watched him this evening, he will always be remembered as a superb actor, RIP mate.
