True, but the guy is an idiot for filming the CSP officer in the way he did. If a random person would be filming in the street and focused on me like that I'd be annoyed. I don't care if it's allowed. It's not on.

It prooves a point. If there's not a law about something. The police will make it up to their own advantage. If it was me I would have demanded to be arrested for breaking a law that don't exist.

Jesus no wonder the PCSO's get such a bad name, whoever allowed him out on the street needs his head examined.

The sad thing is if he had a half-decent attitude and hadn't gone in the way he did things could have been resolved very easily.

There is some footage kicking about youtube (I had a quick look but couldn't find it) showing something similar at G8 a few years back. Then the Police (proper Police) get someone to stop filming and move away during an arrest in a way that works well and doesn't come across as badly as this nugget.

Handled completely inappropriately and demonstrates to me why pcso's are not the answer to the problem. We need more professional officer's on the streets that can make a real difference. I understand that guy is probably not indicative of pcso's or maybe he is i don't know the one's i have met have been good people trying to do what they can to make things better. Doesn't change the fact they won't work as an alternative to professional officer's being out and about.

I have just watched this video, and l strongly believe that this CSP, was totally out of order, in doing what he had done, in London, if you stopped everyone filming something, you would have to stop every tourist there was, we don't know who was behind the camera, we don't know who they were filming, so the claim the filming was suspicious, was he filming children, was he filming a bank, was he filming up certain people, l won't go into great detail on that one, what he should have done, was call for police back up, to check the finer point of the law, on 'suspicious people etc', when a TV company films in any area of London, THEY do need WRITTEN permission from the local authority, but l think that this CSP, was over acting, by asking him to stop filming, or it could have been, that he wanted filming to stop as HE himself, didn't want to be filmed, have you thought of that one.
