Enquiry into the war in Iraq?

Listening Gordy has apparently signalled a U turn on the subject of an official enquiry into the war in Iraq.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2...d=networkfront

When it will be set in motion is another question however - some reckon it might be after the next election ......

Re: Enquiry into the war in Iraq?

Lord Hutton free, is he?

*excessive cynicism*

What he's actually saying is a) things are going just swell, which is an absolute lie and b) we won't have an inquiry until it's nice 'n secure, which given that we aren't going to make nice 'n secure means we'll never have an inquiry. Simple.

Re: Enquiry into the war in Iraq?

Judging by a brief look at the thread titles, the tabloid knuckleheads have been having a gay old time. Time to get the clue-bat out.

Have they decided it wasn't a war after all and therefore an enquiry isn't needed seeing that excuse worked so well on the European thingy.

Re: Enquiry into the war in Iraq?

Yes, it's now officially not the 'Iraq War' but the 'Iraq Pub Brawl'. This explains the new policy of encouraging squaddies to wear their uniforms in pubs.
