Re: whats her chances ?
Clinton for Prez, Obama for Veep - then in 8 years time, he gets the top job.

I can't see it happening at all - they loathe each other. Whichever of them gets the Democrat nomination, they won't be picking the other as a running mate.

Depends, A lot of attention is focused on the democrates, the two candidates, especially Obama, have a lot of momentum behind them and in primarys in which independents can vote most of them have been doing so to vote for one of the democratic candidates.
The democrates have the drive, energy and momentum that is capitiving peoples attention. They will field the first woman or black candidate in American History.
The republicans are suffering too much from the Bush years and people want something different.
It will be very hard for the republicans to win IMO.

Though there is some bridge building going on at the moment. The worst case scenareo for the Democrats is splitting the vote between Clinton and Obama and the Republicans getting back in as a result.
A democrat friend of mine voted in the Republican Primaries to influence the best of a bad lot if they get back in!

But a lot of middle america (i mean geographically - the breadbasket states) are naturally republican. The coasts are more liberal, thus more likely to be democrat.

Obama has wiped the floor with Clinton in the South Carolina primary:

Heh, whoever gets to win this election, as the leader of a major superpower in the world really gets to dictate which way the world swings from then on, it's their finger on the button so-to-speak, it's worth being even just slightly interested in these things as it could well have an effect on your life whether you like it or not

to be honest.... I know nothing to do with our politics let alone americas.
I just hope whoever gets it, is probably as good as clinton was.
His missus might, the coloured guy who sounds like a terrorist might, but who really knows.
I know they will have the main power, but what really does it all mean to us?
