More dodgy donations???

This time Alan Johnson is the target but given it's in the Mail and he's such a nice guy it's probably rubbish.

Re: More dodgy donations???

First paragraph of the item
"Health Secretary Alan Johnson was dragged into the Labour funding row last night over a £3,000 gift from a businessman that does not appear on the Electoral Commission's website. "

Further down the page
""We checked he was a member of the Labour Party and was on the Electoral Register and we registered the donation with the Labour Party, the Register of Members' Interests and the Electoral Commission."

A spokeswoman for the Commission confirmed that Mr Siddiqui's donation had been registered with it but had not yet been published on its website. "

Storm, teacup, Daily Mail, misrepesenting - please re-arrange.

Re: More dodgy donations???

Brown must be getting more and more convinced that his time as PM is going to be short-lived. All the years he spent undermining Blair have backfired as he has provided himself to be quite unlucky as well as incompetent.

That said, the fact it came from the Mail really does undermine this stories crediblity. Will have to wait until more details emerge before we can judge if this was out of line or not.
