Scottish Nationalism & the Internet
If scotland were ever to cede from the UK, they'd obviously need their own TLD (top level domain name) as they'd not really want to keep using .uk
All country specific top level domain codes are 2 character (there are no countries using 3 characters)
SO,
What do you think would be used for scotland's new TLD? before you start, .SC (Saychelles) is taken. so is .SL (Sierra leone) .ST (Sao Tome) and .SD (Sudan). I think .SS would be frowned upon for obvious reasons.
Look here for a full list http://www.iana.org/root-whois/index.html

Re: Scottish Nationalism & the Internet
Well, there's the Gaelic word Alba to use, but that's a bit like 'Albania'. You can't have sa or as or al, but ab is OK as is aa. There's also 'Ecosse', as seen sometimes on cars, but es and se are both obviously taken.
No combination of 's' and any other letter in 'Scotland' works, they're all taken.
I vote for 'ab', personally.

Hmmmm. the Scots.......... .......... what about TG ?
For Tight Gits that is!
Oh and before Alex Salmond issues a Celtic Fatwah against me, I am only joking.
'Joking' Def. a highly enjoyable social pastime common in the UK before the advent of political correctness and which often involved making humerous but well intentioned comment about others.
