December salary

Um, is this true? I'm usually paid on the last Friday of the month, but they bring forward the pay day in December, so it'll be the 18th this year. That means I get paid on November 30th and again on December 18th - just over a fortnight apart. I can't understand why anybody would be getting their last pay packet of the year??

I'm the same too, I get paid on the 21st. I guess it means not all employers are as charitable. The downsides to this are 6 weeks til next payday plus it means I'm out shopping on black friday

I get paid on the 6th of every month so I'll get paid on the 6th of December, my next pay day will be on the 6th of January simple innit

I'll be skint over Christmas though but it's the perks of having a tight boss.

We get paid on the 27th normally, and usually a week earlier in December.

We get paid around 24th December I think so hopefully not too bad as will spend money and then have it come back in again.

Get paid 6th of each month also, except i'm subject to 50% tax until at least January! Christmas would be ruined if it weren't for savings...

Ah well. I hate being paid monthly full stop. Much rather it were weekly.

So it's looking like the majority here are paid at or near the end of the month, and not at the start. Odd that the retail industry thinks otherwise.

I got paid 30-11 (5 weeker) and always the last friday of the month. My next one is due on the 28th Dec, but if our payroll do the same as previous years we'll either get paid on the 21st or 24th of Dec. Mrs gets hers on the 24th instead of 28th.

You should try being self employed, you get loads of money all the time providing you donâ€™t have days off sick,,Humbug. When I were younger our matron used to take us all to the local cemetery by shaksis pony to show us where Farther Christmas was buried on Christmas eve. Humbug

Joking aside what about all those people who get paid weekly.

Paid last working day of the month normally, but Decembers pay will be paid for on the 21st, Which is groovy as I have still got 27.5 days leave to take before April so I can see twenty days of january being taken off

I expected them bringing payday forward to the 21st, that being the nearest Friday to Christmas. But they must have thought it was still too close to Christmas, and moved it back to the 18th

Such consideration - just can't understand it

I'd spend them oney too quickly if I was paid weekly. I much prefer monthly.
