To be honest I'm not sure if this should go in current affairs or humour. I couldn't help but think April Fool when I read it -despite the fact we're at the end of October.

My wife has since spoilt the mystery of this by suggesting it could be tied into the volcanoes in the area generating electromagnetic energy. How dull!
