Yeah the only "gangs" where members think they're "cool" for being in a gang are normally populated by 7 year olds and don't allow girls in.

When I was younger I used to pray for a bike.
Then I realised god doesn't work like that, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.
I can see the idea behind this but hoodies and chavs will hang out in gangs/packs/groups whatever we call them.
dad says that as well, i class gangs as the idiots that actualy name themselves e.g gooch from moss side (1 of many) and the others jus a group of idiots.

This sounds as if someone is trying to be politically correct or they don't want sued by people, as for the "glamourising such offenders" I'm afraid this will never happen unlesss you count the yobs within the "gang" itself who think it is tough to attack a lone person and knife him / her when there are 10 or more of them. What you find is that if you get them one on their own then they revert to piles of s"Łt and whine that it wasn't them.
