BNP terror
Does anyone live in the Burnley area and if so have they seen this in the local press? Didn't make the news apparently.

Re: BNP terror
It made the Pendle News http://www.pendletoday.co.uk/ViewArt...icleID=1806619
I would bet my last 20 quid (Im on a roll now) that if they had been muslims they'd be all over the front page of the Sun (unless this a some hoax story that the mainstream national media have seen through)

They seem to have actually been to court though, it does seem strange though, that regardless of any perceived agendas that this story hasn't been reported on nationally.

Re: BNP terror
Yeah I do find it strange that everything I've found so far (and theres not a lot) indicates they have been on court and will reappear at the end of the month. I find it very strange that its not to be found anywhere in the mainstream media.
Good find by injuneer.

Re: BNP terror
Well until the facts are known let us just assume that 2 members of the BNP just found these things in the street and decided to recycle them.

Whilst that's as likely as a pigs head turning up at a mosque by accident it's still possible

And the excellent urban75 board:

Oh, and it made the Sunday Times, as hatedbythemail points out, but in the 'News In Brief' column. Whoop-de-doop. That's it for the mainstream media. Lucky he wasn't called Abdul, really.
Rachel North, who's an involuntary minor celebrity post-7/7 and knows real journalists, posted on her blog that the BBC 'missed' it but will cover the trial. Good old BBC. Actually, her article is well worth reading.
What's interesting to me, however, is that they were charged under the old pre-terror-hype laws which I've always argued were perfectly adequate to deal with criminals amassing dangerous explosives, rather than the recent anti-terror Acts that try and criminalise things like possession of a map of Afghanistan or a guide to the Empire State Building. Roll on the (fair) trial.

Re: BNP terror
the cumbrian paper, where one of the defendants comes from, suggests this is the biggest haul ever found in the country. if theyre referring to chemical explosives and thats correct then you really woud think this would attract a wee bit more attention.
nothing on the bnp's website about these arrests either ;-)

Mrs Christiana Buchanan, who appeared for the prosecution in Jackson's case, alleged the pair had "some kind of masterplan". She said a search of Jackson's home had uncovered rocket launchers, chemicals, BNP literature and a nuclear biological suit.

If they find a used return ticket to North Korea, I'm going to get really worried...

Re: BNP terror
One of them was a dentist so perhaps he was just developing a novel method of teeth extraction using rocket launchers?

Re: BNP terror
If this was by muslims this topic would already be 6 pages long.

Well to be fair (and I'm not condoning the BNP in anyway, never have and never will), you don't often associate the BNP with explosives or weapons of warfare, just wanton acts of violence by knuckle-dragging neanderthals.

but a massive haul of explosives, a nuclear biological suit. think it deserves a bit more than the pendle times.
