Re: No 10 forbids any monkey business

Another perfect protest. These people have brought lots of publicity on their cause, and presumable donations, which is the reason they are doing this, and no civillians or emergency services have been unduly hurt, disrupted, or otherwise inconvienced. I'll never agree with their aims, but their method gets a for me. If only everyone else did the same.

Its a shame though we can get these BUAV to sign a disclaimer that if they are ill, they won't be treated using medicine or techiques originally tested on non-human primates. At least then you'd respect them more for sticking to their principals.

I dare say some will start on the old supressing-protest-and-zealous-policing arguments, but I think its good someone the people at the gates of Downing St. have at least half ounce of common sense to not let them through.

Whereas I (cynically, of course) think it's more a case of them being told not to let anyone through who's going to give Blair a bad (or, at least, worse than at present) image.

It would have been easy enough to check them for bombs etc before they were allowed past the gates.
