A Plea

I would say to everyone,
In light of London's Events we must be more vigilant, I mean i have to use Public Transport in Coventry a few times a week but from now on i will look for anything left around on the bus,
I haven't been on a bus in Coventry yet but i will do for the first time since London's event on Monday morning and i suppose i will be vigilant but life moves on.
We did have unfortunately a bomb scare here yesterday on a single decker bus due to a mystery packet the driver noticed and thankfully the army blew it up.
But in the next few weeks people cannot leave anything around we must be very careful on bags etc

Re: A Plea

Too true.

Actually, at work, we have always had to be vigilant. Not because we are likely to have bombs placed, but simply because the computer labs I manage are arranged in rows, and students tend to leave bags and stuff in places that block the access gangways. If a student should walk up a gangway and trip on another student's bag, the Uni are liable.

Re: A Plea

Definately agree with you.
I find it always important to be aware of our surroundings.
And sometimes it means unplpugging the Ipod and coming back to reality just for a few seconds at a time just to see whats going on.
I always check people out to make sure I'm not sitting next to anyone dodgy, drunk or something like that.

As you say, it is important to not leave anything unattended at the moment and also be aware of everything around us.

Re: A Plea

i'm only saying this because of the many false alarms being reported around London Today.
At one case in Kings Cross some passenger left their bag by accident and it caused a total shutdown of the station.
I just think of course we need to report anything suspicious activity but then we must take responsibility if we leave bags around which could cause more false alarms which to be brutally honest are not needed at this time.
