A schoolboy who raped a teacher at a central London school has been given a life sentence in detention.
The powerfully-built boy, who attended Westminster City School for Boys but cannot be named, had admitted rape.
The 15-year-old, now 16, head-butted and threatened to kill the woman, 28, during the assault in September 2004.
The judge told him he had violated the teacher's classroom, her place of safety, and had left her "physically and mentally scarred".
The youth was told he would be detained during Her Majesty's Pleasure.
He will be eligible for parole after serving four-and-a-half years - but will not be released until doctors consider he is no longer a danger.
Passing sentence, Judge Christopher Moss said: "This was a truly dreadful crime.
"You subjected your victim to the terror of a physical, sexually degrading and humiliating attack in her own classroom.
"She said she considered her classroom her safe zone. You violated her place of safety."
Brendan Kelly, prosecuting, told the court the youth was arrested the day after the rape.
He said the youth ripped the teacher's shirt and bit her. He then pulled off her trousers but she managed to hit him in the groin with her shin.
The teacher then continued to fight him off. "The more she resisted, the more he continued to attack her," Mr Kelly said.
Following the attack the teacher ran naked to the head teacher's office. Jeremy Dein, QC, defending, said the teenager had come from an "emotionally fraught" family background and had been bullied at school and suffered from a misconduct disorder.

Mr Kelly said the youth was caught on CCTV wandering around the school after other pupils had left.
He had gone into another classroom where he spoke to a woman teacher, before attacking the victim five minutes later.
"It may well be that she was fortunate herself," said Mr Kelly.
After the previous hearing into the case, it emerged that the youth had been questioned by police about other attacks in his area.
But he was not suspected when a cleaner was attacked at the school in June, last year, when an attempt was made to rape her.
A police inquiry is being held to find out if the relevant information about the youth's background was available to authorities before the attack.

The judge said two psychiatrists described the youth as a danger to the public, and one doctor regarded him "as a potentially dangerous young man currently at high risk of sexual violence".
The doctors felt he should be assessed over a long period of therapy and should not be released until he was felt to be safe, said the judge.

In mitigation, Jeremy Dein QC, defending, had argued that the defendant's age should be taken into consideration.
He said the teenager had come from an "emotionally fraught" family background and he was bullied at school.
His father had left before he was born and the youth was left to act as man of the house.
But he suffered a form of misconduct disorder, said Mr Dein.
"When he committed the offence at 15, he was and remains the product of an emotionally fraught upbringing."

The defence cited one previous conviction for carrying a bladed instrument but said there had been no previous convictions in relation to sexual offences.

The court heard that the defendant had "found God" while in prison and expressed deep remorse for what he had done.
The youth wrote a letter to the judge saying he was sorry "from the bottom of his heart".
Mr Dein asked for the defendant to be given a chance to rehabilitate and rebuild his life.

Well he might not have to be as they are appealing the decission to name him on Friday, until then he cannot be named at all.

Judge Moss lifted the court order protecting the youth's identity but stayed this until Friday afternoon after the defence said it wanted the decision reviewed by the High Court.

He can destroy a life but must be protected from having the same happen to him? Justice? Mmmmm.

After 5years in the showers picking up the soap, he won't be a problem, although his moonwalk will challenge Michael Jacksons.

Exactly ! Life means nothing at all these days.
Atleast he's gone to jail and got some sort of pounishment I guess.
However he's done that poor woman probably a life times emotional damage so he's basically getting away with it.

Im not going to go into a whole debate right now, but I've said it time and time again, we have a totally messed up police and punishment system in our country where any sentence nearly 100% never stands its ground.
