Teenager admits murdering his parents

Their bodies were found in September 2004 at their Merseyside home several weeks after they had been attacked.
Blackwell's admission of manslaughter with diminished responsibility was accepted by the Crown. He suffers from "narcissistic personality disorder".

It's an explanation that will no doubt reduce his sentence though. It's a shame that there is no fool-proof way of identifying personality disorders before they get so extreme.

Well maybe they will.Then we may end up with a Minority Report type sort of society with people labelled as being a danger to society being targeted before they cause any problems..

It's easy to dismiss an act due to mental illness as delinquency but if the mind is not working properly then you can't assume that someone can exercise their ability to choose to do something or not.
