What if they change the taste of HP Brown Sauce - what'll we do?
What'll we do?
Wibble
I bet their secret plan it to convert it slowly over time into that tomato stuff and then well all be like - THEM!

The HP Fruity Sauce is alright but the brown one is a bit spicy for me. Hope they don't tamper with the original one though - it's a British institution really!

well HP has been owned by a French company, recently (Danone), and it didn't change, then, so I don't suppose Heinz will change it, either.
If it ain't broke, etc

Why? Like Gaz said, it didn't change when Danone took it over in 1998, so why would Heinz change it?

I believe they are going to be re-working the recipe and brown sauce will now contain baked beans inside it.

This is a sad day for us all
Wont the brand name be too strong? If i were them (which i am not) I would keep the brand name and style, they will own HP foods but will we wont notice, same bottle (expect glass, I hate the glass bottles. GLASS SUCKS!) and same name

Calm down everyone,
No one has said or even inferred that anything will change.
I think most major brands, especially food/drink brands, have all learnt from the Coca Cola balls up all those years ago.
I don't think the taste will be tampered with.

Re: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! The reckoning is upon us - REPENT!
I quite like their BBQ sauce Hope it isn't fiddled with. Take a chicken breast fillet, wrap in tin foil, and sling in the oven for a bit. Remove from oven and smother in BBQ sauce and strong cheese. Bung under grill for a bit. Oh yummy
