[Merged] Nothing is sacred (grave desecration)
BBC
Quote:
Vandals have smashed gravestones and destroyed flowers and mementoes at a cemetery in Greater Manchester.
The damage was discovered by staff at Farnworth Cemetery in Bolton when they arrived for work on Saturday morning.
Greater Manchester Police said about 60 headstones were damaged and keepsakes had been scattered around the scene.

Another graveyard wrecked by idiots Someday this pathetic behaviour will end.

Re: Nothing is sacred
Paul, that's pretty disgusting. Saw this in the local paper today. Farnworth is not the best of areas and clearly doesn't have the best of kids. Heard a dad on the radio today, clearing up the mess around his daughter's grave. Hopefully they'll see/hear his reaction and understand the implications of what they've done and, when they're older, regret it..
bdav - you're extrapolating even further than those on that thread already are, which IMO is not good!

Re: Nothing is sacred
Not much better than the youths who pelted the funeral procession with stones.....

Re: Nothing is sacred
That is just plain goddam wrong sick and f**king unjust, I am lost for words as how low society is going.
What are we doing wrong to make such abusive and evil people as our next generation.

Re: Nothing is sacred
I'm surprised some social works doesn't stand up for them and claim that it was their way of 'protesting against religion'

Re: Nothing is sacred
Would be a very funny scary and probally wrong gag, but wait for them to arrive and have people like zombies right under the soil raise from there graves to chase them off.
Would be worth it for the sheer laugh factor and video it all.

Re: [Merged] Nothing is sacred (grave desecration)
I have had a grave stone smashed up (a close relation's grave)
Now at first I just wanted to kill them. But now I just don't know - I think I just pity these 'people' that their lives are so empty that this is the kind of thing they seem to enjoy doing.

Re: [Merged] Nothing is sacred (grave desecration)
So - back to the original question - what to do with them? Make them meet the families who have been affected by their actions - I saw some of them interviewed on TV earlier in the week - and it was heartbreaking. The little scrotes even destroyed teddies, toys etc that had been left at children's graves. I'd like to see them try and explain their deeds.
