Apparently, the exit pollers are concentrating on the marginal seats today.

Thank you I'd forgotten they would do that...... never had to get a lift to the polling stn since it's only 10 mins walk away
Whilst i may be cutting off my nose to spite my face...... i'd rather die than get in a car with any of the candidates or their cronies... unlike other years, we've had NO ONE canvassing at our door this year, which i'm pleased about, but at the same time am wondering why not. I can imagine many of the reasons why, and i suppose i could ask them why in the car whilst their giving me a lift
The problem with that is i'd probably end up spoiling them before i even get to my ballot paper
But thank you for the reminder millay My brother should be getting in soon and hopefully i can get a lift with him when he goes

Re: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
I might just limp down the road to the polling station later - and I will probably vote for the local Independent bloke. We are in a Labour seat but only just - the Tories are hoping to get it back this time round but I doubt it!

Re: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
Not voted yet and I can't see the point. The present Tory candidate will no doubt win again and so my vote for whoever will be wasted.
Yes I will be voting but I feel depressed about it.

Well you're not the first person to have said that i've pushed them over the edge but at least this was in a good way
It was an incredibly useful reminder and deserved a rep We tend to forget that there are options available to us if we exploit certain people/services in the same way that they exploit us
Let's face it....... if there was a political party you particularly despised, you could tell them that you really wanted the opportunity to vote for them but couldn't get to the polling stn....... take the lift and then vote for someone else
Not very ethical....... but that's politics
Edit: Typo

Re: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
I''ve still got to go and vote and even though I'm in John Majors old seat and its a solid blue vote, it's not putting me off voting (an I won't be voting Tory either!)
I think my old head of sixth form put it best.
'If you don't vote then you've got no right to complain about whoever gets in.'
He was very good at encouraging us to vote without promoting any party.
Besides with turnout at around 59% (last time) if _EVERYONE_ who didn't vote voted, then the politcal map could be substantually different 41% of the vote would almost certainly put anyone in, regardless of who won last time and what majority they had.
I'll be voting LIBDEM in any case. I know I'll be worse off regardless of whoever gets in, but at least they're being honest about it.
Unlike the Torys and Labour who are claiming respectivly that the extra money can be magic'd up from somewhere or isn't actually needed.

Re: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
Its interesting that Labour are a pretty distant 3rd in this vote.
I think we have a fair mix of people here and I'm pretty surprised they are not in the lead or at least up close with the other two.
