Re: This Country...
That is absolutely disgusting.
I was no angel in school and terrorised a few teachers but there is causing them a bit of mischief and there is just well just.
What on earth possesses these children? maybe TV and computer games are to blame I dont know?
I know I was watching Cartoon Network and I saw a Cartoon with a bully spitting on another kid and also some other kids show where the boy in it kept p*ssing and sh*tting on things and generally being rude and obnoxious.
these programs were aimed at 5-7 year olds, it was unbelieveable.

Re: This Country...
That is terrible.
People often say teachers have it easy, but it is clearly not at all like that.
My Mum's a teacher and says how terrible it can be at times.

Nice try! I'll do my best for you...... why's this thread called "This Country..." like 15 year old boys rape teachers on a daily basis. This is an horrific, exceptional (with MattD's contribution) case, not an indicative one.

Re: This Country...
It is NOT an everyday occurence in school at the moment..Thankfully.I do not feel threatened at all by the students I teach. Most of them are pleased to see me.In fact I had to duck one 15 year old who to wanted to give me a hug this morning because he was so pleased to see me.
The only thing I feel in school is depression because of the low level sort of disturbance that I get from some students..it does make teaching harder, but I am not scared in school.

Good on 'ya.
Just, for heavens sake, don't let it get out of control (ahem, crap headteachers, in most of those cases). I've been to a school like that (albeit, for not very long), and during the time there, countless teachers had bricks thrown at them. Just last week, somebody brought in an air rifle, aimed at the teacher, missed, and shot another pupil.
I'm surprised I came out alive!
