BNP manifesto
Quote:
The British National Party has launched its general election manifesto with a call to abolish multi-culturalism.
Leader Nick Griffin also called for EU withdrawal, the restoration of capital punishment and an end to immigration.
He said British troops should be pulled out of Iraq and used to patrol Dover and the Channel Tunnel to keep out illegal immigrants and asylum seekers.
And he pledged to introduce "firm but voluntary incentives for immigrants and their descendants to return home".
He said the main issue at this election was for the British to regain control of their own country.
Mr Griffin also wants the reintroduction of national service and said everyone who had undergone it should be required to keep a modern assault rifle at home.
"It's there to shoot burglars with if they want, it's there to shoot people who invade this country if they want, and if in the end a tyrannical government wants to usurp the rights and freedoms of the people it is there to use against the government as well," he said.

Whilst that works in Switzerland, I really don't think it's a good idea here

Hmmmm, A right can of worms this could turn into!
Certain things mentioned that a lot of people will agree with but are too afraid to admit to agree with, and some other things that just can`t happen.

Usual knee-jerk nonsense from the BNP. I hear they want to ban curry from school dinner menus too.
Racist nutters, through and through.

Re: BNP manifesto
End to multi-culturalism?
That's funny considering on there PPB the other day, they had 1 black person, and 1 asian who said they'll vote BNP.
National service: yeah that'll win the young people over, wouldn't it? And an army of conscripts is effective, is it?
The Swiss have years responsibly gun ownership behind them, back when the human race wasn't full of so many f**k-ups, so they can have that law and not kill each other. If they made gun ownership mandatory, and gave guns to everyone, then I don't think i'd go out, or sleep well at night, again.
And it would be voluntary for immigrants to return home? It is now, so I don't think that will make a whole lot of difference, despite these "incentives" which I would like to know more about.
I don't even agree with the EU policy. I want us to remain in the EU, but keep the pound, and more importantly, keep our own leaders, government and laws.
I thought the BNP wanted to establish themselves as a sensible. responsible party. They have forgotten all about that then.

Re: BNP manifesto
Hmm, would this be a nasty, greasy, foreign, asylum seeking Eastern European AK-47 or a stout, British, jammed, SA-80? Given that it's ludicrous to expect people to defend their home with an assault weapon (a handgun would be far more feasible, unless you live on a large country estate where you can engage Burglar Bill at long range without taking out your neighbours) I'm not sure it matters. Loonies.
Not heard the ban curry idea, but British curries aren't remotely Indian anyway (ask an Indian, a large number of whom are vegetarian anyway). It's a dish tailored to British tastes, just as much as egg, sausage and chips is. I like both, and don't particularly want my dinner table edited by fascists.
Firm, but voluntary? Sounds like Labours 'voluntary' ID cards to me. Would leave the current England cricket, football and rugby teams a little shorn (bye bye Campbell, Cole, Ferdinand, Defoe, Solanki, Butcher, Pietersen, Ali, Jason Robinson....).

traced back far enough, how many people's descendants aren't immigrants? you'd have to kick out the royals, for starters...
utterly laughable...this is why they don't get voted for.

The sad thing is that some clueless fools *do* vote for them. OK, they don't have a chance of getting any seats in Westminster, but they do have council seats...

In my experience, just because a person is black or asian it doesn't mean they disagree with stopping illegal immigrants, assylum seekers or any other scroungers coming into this country.
Many people of foreign nationality legally working in this country, who followed the rules also feel the same as us nasty white racists.
