I'd like to think this would help him re-evulate his world view, but I doubt it.

I think you might have his world-view a bit awry.
1) He's an old-fashioned socialist - fundamentalist Muslims don't like socialists (for the same reason the new Pope doesn't, in fact - they're ungodly)
2) His party is part formed (although they keep it quiet) by the SWP, who are Trotskyites - fundamentalist Muslims don't like Trotskyites, who owe their political view to Russia, a country which has a long history of fighting Muslims in Central Asia, in addition to the point 1 bit about disliking socialists for being ungodly.
3) This is suspiciously similar to what happened yesterday at the MCB. Both the MCB and Galloway want Muslims to vote (the latter wants them to vote for him, of course, but he still wants them to vote) - fundamentalist Muslims don't want Muslims to vote - quite what they want them to do I'm unsure of, read the Qu'ran and murder people, possibly
4) Galloway is actually quite a fervent Christian - fundamentalist Muslims don't like Christians much for reasons that are too obvious to reiterate
So while Galloway is certainly angling for the Muslim vote, himself, his party and policies as currently structured isn't in any way likely to find favour with the tiny minority of mad moral absolutist loonies.
Talking of loonies, the current bunch (the BNP with beards) seem to be pretty good at getting headlines - their aim* seems to be to deepen divisions between Muslims and British society, in order to radicalise Muslim youth and thus enhance their power - this is should be resisted at all costs and I think Galloway, deeply flawed man that he is, is morally in a better place to help resist it than Tony Blair and Oona King, who seem to believe that you can lie and bomb people into liking you.
*This is also bin Laden's aim, of course, but on a global scale - to destroy multi-culturalism and provoke holy war. So far, thanks to having idiots in the White House and Pentagon, it seems to be working.
