Carbomb Kills One Hundred Plus.
Good to see democracy is comming to Iraq.
Petty it comes at the cost of the largest single loss of life since the ''war'' ended.

Neither can I, while there may not ever be a civil war, the monsters who order this sort of attack can turn Iraq into a toilet for the next 20 years. I wonder it George and Tony feel bad about what they've dont to Iraq?
Prolly not, after all George was on a mission from god.

Re: Carbomb Kills One Hundred Plus.
Well since this has happened one hopes that maybe Syria will find a few others hiding/sitting in their midst. That should reduce the problem a little.

Re: Carbomb Kills One Hundred Plus.
I cant make up my mind if Iraq was better off under a vicious dictactor guilty of huge crimes against humanity or since the removal of Hussein, etc.

I'm sure we all agree that Saddam was a nasty piece of work but when he was in charge he knew how to control the iraqi people and there was none of this terrorist uprising. Once these terrorist groups are irradicated then iraq should be a better place but unless the US become more hardlined, I can't see that happening in the short term. They should of killed him in the first gulf war and if Thatcher was in charge it would have happened
Before the last war on iraq the US should have simply told Saddam that he can do whatever he wants in his own country but the moment he crosses his border or threatens another nation then him and his country would be carpet bombed and wiped from this earth!

Oh it was tried during Gulf One to drop LGB onto Saddam, the problem was that he moved about way too much. Used modes of transport below his station as head of state (buses, taxis, ambulences etc). Even if Iron Maggie had been PM at the time of Gulf One, Saddam would still have been in power. The UN resolution for war clearly stated that one Iraqi forces where ejected for Kuaite (sp - its late and I'm very tired), then offensive military operations where to be curtailed.
And thats pretty much what did happen. As soon as signifigant numbers of coatilion troops had gotten into contact with the Corps of Republican Guard north of the Iraq/ Kuatie boarder the Iraqis called for a ceasefire. I should know, I was in command of an AVRE in 1st UK Armoured Division attatched to 7th Armoured Brigade (The Desert Rats).

Re: Carbomb Kills One Hundred Plus.
Rumour has it that special forces were already on to Saddam in GW1 and would have obliterated him then apart from they were called off. I wasn't there I don't know
I can't see an end to Iraq and I have a dearly loved blokey out there as well. Most of the army are demoralised and can't understand why they are or were there in the first place. Most of them are there under dures to just do a job. Of course all this political squaddie kicking in the papers doesn't help either.
It's such a shame that the insurgents are so anti-west but, who can blame them. What did we and are we doing for them that they can see ? They hate the Americans and now think we are little America which is very sad.
Anyway I am just scribbling thoughts onto a puter screen so I wil shut up
