I can't tell the difference between a male and a female penguin with all my human intellect......why should a penguin be able to with his titchy intellect...?
If the penguin has made his "choice" to be attracted to another male penguin, how do you explain the trying to hatch rocks then?
Believe me they are just stupid and full of testosterone...
Maybe they support Man United??

Why not assume there was a level of humour involved which you may have missed?

Could you elucidate on where the humour is?

Re: Gay Penguins...
Penguins trying to hatch stones.
My (obviously poor) attempt at humour was to suggest that sex education for penguins was so bad that they were not told that eggs are for hatching.
Not stones.

Re: Gay Penguins...
Wont it be a little rock hard to hatch a rock, sure would take the biscuit and in different flavours depending on rock type.

You flake
Maybe the males just think that the females are ugly
Anyway, if they were human, the males would be being praised for embracing their feminine sides, and practicising ante-natal techniques - I don't know why peopel are getting so aeroated by this

Re: Gay Penguins...
People, let's keep this on topic please...
Actually, maybe the male penguins think the females are nuns. There is a certain resemblance..

Re: Gay Penguins...
All this talk of chocholate just mars the conversation.
Anyway, homosexual behaviour is extremely common within the animal community.
Just look at bonobo chimps, or the giant octopus for examples, oh and human beings too, we're animals after all.
