Re: torture techniques
Poor people, it must be so traumatic to find women in revealing clothes a method of torture.
Lets just ignore the fact that these people are of a few that were not released shortly after capture, so these people must have been doing something highly suspicious to have the US even bother with them in the first place.
Lets ignore the fact that one of the 4 recently released claims he did indeed attend a terrorist camp, but he didnt know it was a terrorist camp, he even came face to face with bin Laden, however he is of little risk to the british public so our gov released him safe in the knowledge that he isnt a terrorist because he says so.
Whilst yes its against some of their religious comvictions to be close to women that are not their wifes, so what, wasnt it against Ken bigleys religious beliefs to have his head hacked off?, what about the thousands that died in the 9/11 attacks, would it not have violated their religion to have been massacred the way they were? What about the people that werent Afghan, what the hell were they doing fighting there against the US?
Innocent? my ******* arse they are.
They are/were fighting a war, a war is won by the side that commits the most attrocities. If having scantily clad women asking these men questions is described as torture then I have to ask what the **** is this world coming to? and no wonder there will be more attacks like 9/11 whilst wqe allow suspected terrorist to take the **** and humiliate us all.

Torture my a**e, torture is being in a very tall building that has just been hit by a couple of aeroplanes and is about to collapse.

Re: torture techniques
i think some of you are missing the point, it is torture to them because its against their religion, they cannot see this type of thing, let alone be touched up by a woman! (who is not their wife) using religious torture im my opinion is sickening, im sure many of you out there who are religious would love it if something was done against you because in your religion its wrong.

Swinging a 2x4 is hard work, better to go at them with acid, and metal bucket full of hot water.

Perhaps not stop videos of Kylie Minouge would have been more approprate in these cases. Then they would have had something to complain about!

Err, you don't need to physically harm someone to torture them. There is such a thing as Psychological torture.
I can see how this could be construed as torture. How would you feel if you wer denied sex for years (note I mean actually physically restricted from having it, not just not having a willing woman around), then a women started parading in front of you wearing a mini skirt and thong? I doubt it would even matter if she was attractive. You would probably still want to sh*g her brains out. It could be said that inducing that sort of desire in a person, then not allowing the to fulfill it is torture.

There is a clear example of the diffrence between americans and terrorists and that is happening in iraq right now. The americans are trying to give the first free elections in 50 years to a country while the terrorists are trying to stop them and kill those who take part.
However I agree that this is inproper and is an insult against their religous belifs. It will be damaging to the relations between the middle east and the west. I can also see the arguement that these people are (likely to be) terrorists and sticking up for there religous belifs while they are happy to kill people is something we should be careful about. There is far too much focus on human rights and law when dealing with terrorists. This is what the bush supporters said and they were right.
Being to kean on sticking up for the terrortists and against the americans is damaging. Let remember who the terrorists are and what they did

Depends if there are terrorists actually being tortured. If they are terrorists, they are fair game. If they are innocent, that's wrong.
