an anonymous tipster turned down a $40,000 reward for leading to the arrest of a murderer.
19 year old Ali kemp a college student from kansas city was murdered, the search for his killer was on but one phone call led to the killer, benjamin appelby changed his name and moved away from kansas, he has been charged with murder and rape with bond set at $1million dollars.
that one person who called in was given a code to collect his prize anonymously through him contacting crimestoppers, the person has decided and asked for the money to be given to:

Ahh a bit of humanity shines through, supprised to see this coming from America when the image that the vast majority put over is, look after number 1, not sure I could or would pass up on 40,000

might be the view you get from the media but it certainly isnt reality in my experience

If he/she wanted to make a gesture, surely taking the 40K and giving it to a charity of your choosing would be better?
I've no idea what will happen to those funds now... but I doubt they'll be doing people as much good as if they'd been donated to a worthy cause.
