Just to be certain of having his collar felt, Kelly dropped his mobile - complete with family snaps - during the getaway.

Well there WAS a sketch where a bank robber walks in to a lingerie shop and demands the safe, when he gets told they only have underwear, he settles for a bra and 2 pairs of panties....

I remember the tale of the bank robbers who smeared lemon juice on their faces. Apparently, CCTV doesn't work when you have lemon juice on your face - the images are blurred.

Well, there was a robber in Lewisham who walked up to a display cabinet with video cameras in then tried to steal the only one that was recording..

On a related note of criminal stupidity did anyone hear the story on Ozzy Osbourne.
Apparently he turned to burglary in his younger days and was given advice by a fellow criminal saying make sure you wear gloves Ozzy as you do not want to leave your prints and get caught.
Being the rebel and rocker Ozzy is and was he took this advice on board but being a rocker decided to use fingerless gloves – doh.
He was obviously soon caught and did 6 weeks for it.
