i for one will be glad when hunting is banned, the sick idiots who protest to keep it going are looking for cheap thrills......at the expense of animal welfare by killing a fox.

Which shows a total lack of understanding for the issue.

Absolutely.

Who cares, if people want to chase foxs across the country side, why should we stop them.

Is hare coursing banned?????

It's pathetic, do you think the fox is going to be better off??? at least with fox hunting he had a chance to get away. Now he'll just get a bullet through the skull off farmer Giles.

Are we banning pheasant & grouse shooting????

We are taking away, for some people, a way of life. Not to mention jobs etc, it is another attack at peoples freedoms by this government

Are we banning fishing????

and to invoke the full power of parliament to push the bill through is an abuse of their authority.

Re: Pro-Foxhunting Demos

Not saying here that I stand against fox hunting but since when does the hunt party throw the foxes on a spit and eat them for dinner ?

the comparison to fishing, pheasant, grouse shooting and hare coursing is unfounded, and worthless.

Hunting is hunting,

people very rarely eat the Hare after the dog has caught it.

The point is these are all country side pursuits, all of which are none too kind to animals.

but why only ban one?

I'm not pro or anti hunting. But I am pro to protect our heritage and peoples way of life. I don't understand what the big issue is.

Re: Pro-Foxhunting Demos

Knowing some people who do hare coursing the hare is eaten like any other game.
The worse bit imo with these type of country people is not the hunt, but they show their children as young as 5 how to gut and skin the hare.
Personally i feel that is way to young to see such a thing but I gather it is normal practice for country people.

Re: Pro-Foxhunting Demos

From a farmers point of view (not that I am) the foxes does need to be controlled eg they eat chickens and lambs and kill them for fun FACT.

They also carry diseases which can be spread to life stock.

at the end of the day it will just go underground and be far worst for the foxes as it will be the hardcore hunters who don't give a dame.

As I say above there are far more issues to worry about in are world than a tradition that's been happing for 100s of years!!

How do you hide a pack of dogs, and a bunch of blokes on horses wearing red jackets and blowing horns
