This is getting beyond the joke

In the initial settlement, Ms Parlour was given two mortgage-free houses worth more than £1m and a £250,000 lump sum.

She also receives £12,500 a year Mr Parlour is paying for each of the children, aged eight, six and four.

In January, High Court Family Division judge Mr Justice Bennett increased Mrs Parlour's annual maintenance to £250,000 from her ex-husband's initial offer of £120,000.

Why is she getting any money what so ever? She already gets child support but she wants more than £250,00 a year!!? for doing nothing?! He does the work but he has to pay her more than 1/3 of his wages because she used to be married to him.

This never works the other way around the man always has to pay the women after a divorce and I am getting ****ed off. Equal rights my arse

How is this fair? If you marry someone then just divorce them and away or go your set for life while he does all the work

Yep - I agree - how can the courts have let her get away with that??
When I got divorced all parties agreed that it was better to make a clean break in all ways - finacially in particular. And it's not as if she can't work either!

I wouldnt be surprised if she hadnt worked a day since the divorce.

Personally I always said if I bought a house, and later got married, I'd pay the extra for a detatched house.
