pregnant girlfreind puncher faces jail

an 18 year old teenager has been advised he maybe sent to prision following an incident with his pregnant girlfreind, which saw him punch her in the stomach.

he reportedly yelled:

furthermore, upon the girllfreinds arrival back to the scene (which she earlier fled) it was found that 'substantial' damage had been done to the room.

im guessing some people are going to say 'you dont know the full story of what happened' and try to defend him, much like the thread about a guy wanting to kill his own mother, 'a fit of rage' we can let him off cant we

Having just read this in the report, the mind boggles.

"He then proceeded to punch her twice in the stomach. She was six weeks pregnant," she added.

"She says having been punched in the stomach she suffered some bleeding. She went to hospital and had a scan and the pregnancy appeared to have been progressing satisfactorily."

Ms Farrow, who had since retracted her statement, ran downstairs with her children and went to a next door neighbour's to get help.

Abusive relationships are never easy to resolve it seems.

They are but it takes a long time (and possibly a tragedy) to be resolved because the abused partner has to come to realise that the b*stard will never change.It takes some people years before they can escape.If they ever do

some cases........

what annoys me is neither party wants to break the family up, even if it means constant abuse, possible drunken fits of rage, the endless mind boggling tirade of verbal, physical abuse, causes problems for the sufferer and kids (if there are any)

these people need to tell themselves that NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL YOU LEAVE THE PERSON

it just annoys me when people say 'i cant do it' and then expect sympathy and help.

if anyone disagrees then it had to be said........

That's easily said when you are on the outside of the relationship looking in Kronas. Not so easy when you are IN the relationship. It takes a lot of strength, courage and determination to break the cycle of abuse

Until you have experienced the situation it's difficult to understand why victims of abuse stay in the relationship.

i know, but if ever i came in to a situation where that was happening to me, i dont care how loving or caring that person was i am not prepared to take the abuse.........

Most peoples reaction would be the same Kronas, sometimes real life just isn't that easy

Years ago my own reaction would probably have been the same as yours but I've seen the results of abusive partners and heard too many stories to know how difficult it is to be able to open the door to leave an abusive partner

and lets not forget it's not always the female who suffers the assault and stays silent.
