boycott canada advert

I was wondering if anyone has been to the cinema recently and seen the boycott canada advert.
You can download it here
http://www.boycott-canada.com/
Its not really for the faint hearted though it must be said. Its full of images of seals being "clubbed" and strong "horror" music designed to get a reaction.

However, what it does not say is that Seal levels are at an all time high and a cull is deemed necessary as at the moment the population is artificially high thus causing fish stocks to suffer.

It would be interesting to hear what people think.

edit ::

here is the press release
http://www.respectforanimals.org/news/index.shtml

note this line
"Hundreds of thousands of baby seals are currently being clubbed to death and skinned alive on the ice floes off Canada's east coast"

I don't object to culling seals, But surely there is a better way than clubbing them to death?

It's cheap and pollution free.
Good excercise too I would imagine.

Candians levels are at an all time high and a cull is deemed necessary as at the moment the population is artificially high thus causing fish stocks to suffer.

Some believe the clubbing to death of Canadians is an inhumane way of reducing the levels of Canadians to acceptable numbers and would prefer to see the use of hight powerd rifles instead.

Some believe that the culling of Canadians is wrong, regardless of the current population levels.

Re: boycott canada advert

I have no problem with a seal cull, providing it's done humanely (I'd be interested to know how clubbing is humane).

Jerrek can only hope to improve
Re: boycott canada advert

There are too many seals around. They are getting pesky. *shrug* I don't have any issues with hunting them. Clubbing is the cheapest and easiest way of killing them.

If you think that is bad, wait till you see how they treat cows that you eat everyday.
