This must be an April Fool

I was browsing through the Guardian trying to spot the April Fool article and I thought I'd found it straight away. A headline on page 2 said Mandelson emerges as new frontrunner to chair BBC. Unfortunately, on reading the content it started to sound definitely un-jokey and horribly real. What will be the next nomination from the government: Attila the Hun for Archbishop of Canterbury, perhaps? And the government wonders why the public is cynical about politicians.

There was a classic April fool on the Everton FC site, where they show their new kit, and it has a big Liver bird on it in red, and they explain that it's to celebrate Liverpools culture
