Nero Burning files in cd order

Hi all

Having problems burning mp3 to CD in the same order as the original CD.

Nero keeps sorting them in alibetical order. When I view them as date order it appears ok but nero burns still in alibetical order.

Any ideas

Regards

When you've put the files you want to burn on the left hand side of the screen just drag each file to the position you want. Nero will then burn them in that order.

Once added, u can rearrange the tracks by clicking and holding down the left mouse button on the song title, and simply moving it up or down as required

Which version of Nero are you using?

When I select to create an audio CD in Nero 5.5.9.0 the window listing the tracks to be burned lets me use drag and drop to change the order without any problems.

If you can't do this in your version one solution would be to rename the tracks starting each filename with 1, 2, 3....etc. This will then ensure the tracks appear in that specific order regardless of the alphabetical listing of the names themselves.

Hope that helps

Its worth baring in mind if you are using the Nero that was supplied with your burner certain options might be disabled until you buy the full currant £35-40 version of Nero.

If you cant move the tracks around (or if you move them around & they burn in the wrong order) you can always rename them on your hard drive in whatever order you want them to be
01.(title of song you want to be no.1).mp3
02.(title of song you want to be no.2).mp3

This may be my problem as I burning mp3s (data) not audio. Tried audio and yes I can change the order. However when burning a data disc I can not. Does everyone else have this problem ?

Regards

Yes that certainly applies when burning as data so the only option is to rename the files with numbers to ensure the order remains as you want AFAIK.
