Another XP network question :(

I'm going the same way as Debs but I'm going to attempt to set up an ad-hoc wireless network, both the computers will be running xp home.

What I want to know is, will I be able to set it up so that I have access to all drives on both of the machines with only XP home or do I need to but a copy of pro??

Re: Another XP network question :(

On XP Pro you can share anything between the two. Not sure its a good idea sharing your complete drive out though. I'd suggest you make a folder which you then share.

select the folder or drive you want to share, press the right mouse button and there should be an option about sharing and security appear

Yeah - Easily as well..

When you actually do it, Post back if you have any problems :p

Its networking between diff OS's that gives the problems

Just make sure that the computer name is diferent on each computer and that the workgroup names are identical on all the computers.
