Re: Linksys BEFSR41 - Request Help

I updated my BEFSR41 v2 firmware last night it locked up... hitting the reset button through a small hole at the front of the router & resting the pc got everything working once again.

hmmm if LAN disconnects when u lock your computer, make sure your LAN card does not get Disconnected by going to sleep after 15 mins or so. I am not sure WHERE in the settings it is but I am sure one of the techies in here have more specific information.

Not sure if anyone is still interested, but I've found this Linksys router setup page.

Question Re: Linksys BEFSR41 - Request Help

I'm looking to get a router myself, I've read some reviews of this Linksys model and they say there are problems with the firmware. I'm wondering whether this US Robotics router is a better buy for reliability:

Also came across this forum thread about the same problem with this Linksys router but this guy has 24 of them!

Anyone else experience this?

Are there settings in the routers configuration I can change to fix this or is this how it is?

DJ.
So has anyone nailed the cause of this?

I have had a similar problem with my BEFSR41 for some time now (usually it only needs resetting in the morning when I log on for the first time).

I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version but it made no difference to the problem.

I may just end up buying one of these if the problem persists:
