@ symbol
Just done a clean instal of my PC and its all working great, BUT the @ symbol is in the wrong place!
Now, last time I did a clean install I remember changing somthing in control pannel, but I cant for the life of me find the setting there now.
I've been all through the "Keyboard" and "Regional & Location" options but I jsut cant see it.
Any ideas guys??
Oh, and the fonts on here seem different, is there an option for that some where too?

Re: @ symbol
Its normally the regional and language settings, make sure you work through all the tabs though. Make sure you have the correct keyboard hardware selected too.
In the language tab make sure you check in the details section.

Re: @ symbol
Found it: Regional and language settings> second tab at the top> then select details!!
You can change it from there.
Still haven't woked out why the font on this site looks strange though!

Re: @ symbol
Is it a newly downloaded copy of nero and what isn't working? Does it not recognise your CD-burner? Have you enabled the burner for recording by right clicking its icon and choosing properties/ recording ?

Its a legit copy, version 5.5.7.2, my friend gave it to me when he updated his and bought a new copy. It was working before I did my reinstall, but now just doesn't have any drives listed. I've updated my ASPI because I had to do that when I first installed it.
I'm really

Re: @ symbol
Download a new copy from nero.com and see if that helps. Have you run windows update and patched everything and did you check the burner is enabled for recording in its properties?

Re: the font.
Most likely because for a time you didn't have the font that is used to display this forum (verdana if I'm correct) - old versions of windows didn't have this font and when you upgrade the font is reinstalled you will see the new font.
If that makes any sense, it's late. It was prolly using Arail before, check what fonts you have.

@asdf, thanks, I've set the font in exploter to Verdana no, and it looks o.k. ITs all a little strange, because last time I reinstalled XP I didn't get any of these problems!

Re: @ symbol
Make sure you get your motherboard drivers installed. Something alot of folk forget to do and can mess lots of stuff up.
