Registry location of product keys...

Hi,

Can anybody tell me the registy hive location of - Windows XP and Office 2003 product keys in the registry please?

Yes I know there are applets to retrieve it, but I need the locations...

They are encrypted in the registry so even if you find them, which is pretty easy they are of little use.

Really??? I thought they where in some key someware and easily readable...

How do these PID Key applications work then? I thought they just read the key from the registry and displayed it in a nice GUI...

Nope, they read the key, decrypt it then display it..

Funnily my Office key is always read wrong fomr the registry along with my Windows key. Find it rather odd, although i do wonder if the keys it gives would work

If you have installed any new Microsoft products recently, it's possible they changed the encryption.

Only Visual Studio 2003 Professional. But that had it's serial locked in as it's part of the MSDNAA.
