I used to do this for another forum team, but stopped doing it.

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
Hmm. doesn't like being run on my work PCs - can't seem to get connections to the internet via the server. That runs M$ SBS 2000. Tried putting the servers proxy details in but it still don't like me.
Shame, theres a few PCs just sitting here running, but doing nothing except make the room hotter, just to keep the printers available - they could be doing something worthwhile. On the other hand will this Seti@home stuff run on a PC where there is no logged on user?

I know you can run the folding software as a service so you may be able to do the same thing with Seti, I use firedaemon to run my folding app as a service.

Yep Iv'e worked my way through that, even started to look at the links for the third party stuff, to no avail (most of those are broken). I don't get this problem with any other software. At the mo I can't even get the seti@home to log on to the seti server.
PC runs Win XP Pro and has a valid ISA server firewall client running. Any ideas how I get my 'puters to bypass the M$ ISA server 2000, which is running "out of the box".

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
There is another system you could use if you cant send units direct to berkely is to use setiqueue, one of you could set up a server, open up a port and then everyone could send all of their completed WUs to the server and then once the connection to berkely has been re-established then that server can send all of the completed WUs to berkely.

Yep I'm experimenting with that at my office now. Problem is getting past the proxy server at my office. However, my home PC seems to be chewing through stuff quite well.

I've used SETISTASH for the last 4 years with no problem!
Basically, it allows you to store packets on your machine, mine's set to 20. Incase you can't connect to upload or download packets, simply as that!
Gets my vote

I think we should be higher than that now - in the late 800s in fact.
May depend on how often those stats are created. May also depend on the information used for the fields of the team when Richard set it up. No doubt he will check?

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
There's nothing I can change that alters the way we might show up?
