Re: Team SETI@cableforum
Darn, I got this new PC working with BOINC, I also have my notebook running it but for some reason, the internet won't work on it. I can share files ETC but not the internet. Any ideas?
Here is how it's setup:
Cable modem --> Computer <-- cross over cable --> notebook
Both running Windows XP, and ran network setup on both of them.
Thanks for the help, my notebook has 6 WU's to send, need the internet for our total credit to go up

Probably be best starting a thread and asking for help - get more replies that way

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
I notice that the mundayweb stats site has now implemented a mirror system to ease the growing bandwidth problems. The stats sigs now state which mirror you use. He's also requesting donations via Paypal
[edit] Just checked - there are now 60 pages of member sigs. It wasn't that long ago that were was only 1

Yeah. I've just uploaded three or four and there's seven more to go before BOINC gets to the SETI WUs
Shame there isn't a stats sig for Predictor - I'm sure someone will create one. Plenty of SETI PHP scripts out there that could be modified. I don't understand how the stats work these days I looked at the explanation and it made zero sense to me.

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
My BOINC doesn't seem to download anything for Predictor@Home yet
Is it doing this for any one else? The resource share is 50/50 for both projects.

If you leave the resource share at 100 for both projects the share will be 50/50. You have to wait until the low water mark is reached, then BOINC will download WUs, hopefully, from both SETI and Predictor.
Check this URL out http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/foru...ad.php?id=1711

...the SAH V1 stats... will be migrated over again when we prepare to shutdown the older project servers... I believe our DBA is working on an upgrade tool for accounts created after that date.

MovedGoalPosts will be pleased

Why?? It means your old SETI WU count, as quoted on your SETI BOINC account page, will be updated to its value on shutting down the old project. This is good Isn't it?
