I was thinking that the team one should be visible on the forum somewhere - proudly displayed. If I get round to asking NTL for my webspace password, I'll put the individual and team stats images on my webspace somewhere.
I was hoping that I could add the stats PHP script to my blog somehow - doesn't look like I can though.

I've just emailed Richard M and asked him to install an XML parser plugin - if it can be installed it should just be a case of adding an html page, with a handful of MT tags, that takes the SETI stats in XML format and turns them into something nice and readable.

- and nice to see you joining in all the fun in the forum
- does anyone know if the xml for personal stats, or the group stats, for that matter, can be turned into an valid RSS feed, rather than a php call?

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
Odd, looks like the team page http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/s...am_185810.html on seti@home didn't update today. Maybe it can't keep up with all the WUs we're throwing at it

Re: Team SETI@cableforum
I threw my work machine (dual 2gig G5 Mac) in yesterday. I did a few units using the gui, and tried one using the CLI version Downquark suggested. The CLI version does seem a lot faster, <3 hours per unit rather 4.5 on the GUI. However, the CLI version appears to have difficulty sending the results back, as it kept saying it couldn't connect to the server.
I set two instances (one for cpu1 and one for cpu2 as suggested)running this afternoon, but the units still haven't been reported as finished.
Any ideas as to what might be going on? I had some difficulties in telling the Unix version about the proxy in first instance, but I got it running. Seeing it can receive the work unit, why can't it return the results? (or so it seems)

Dunno why you can't send stuff back but if the server is busy when it tries that might be an issue?
I'm generally running stuff either with SetiQueue as a proxy to pick up all the office PCs I've "borged", or at home the CLI version is run in conjunction with SetiSpyu which can also cache WUs. NB the SetiQueue on the office network, placed on the server itself was the only way I could bypass the office firewall, M$ ISA server.

I don't think it is a busy server. When I looked at the CLI version today, it had several (10+)messages saying 'can't connect to server, will try again in an hour'. When I closed it and restarted, the finished unit showed up almost instantly on the SETI web site. I also saw the GUI version finish a unit today, and it started a new unit about 30secs later.
I'll have to see what the status is in the morning, but I would not be surprised to find two units finished a long time ago, and the clients being unable to connect to the server they received the unit from...
