I'm using the demo on the YouOS website to access Cable Forum via the YouBrowser to create this thread - neat, eh?

Wow, awesome piece of JS... And using JS, its easy to develop apps to extend it, that's nice... Nice to have the ability to use from anywhere in the world too...

So, you're accessing a web page using a web browser in an Operating System to access a web page using a web browser in an Operating System...

Recursive-tastic!!!

clever, but does seem rather pointless. in a day and age where storage is small and very cheap, those important files can be put on a keyfob and off you go.... that really would be the only reason for this webOS.

For now, we support inbound text messages. By entering your mobile phone number, you can send text messages to the email address of the app.

For example, the sticky application for notes has an app_mobile_name set to "s". So, if you've registered your mobile number in your account page, sending a text message to s@youos.com will look at your caller id and create a sticky with the message body the next time you log on! Or, if you're logged on, a sticky *should* magically appear.

We plan on extending mobile integration like this much further in the future. The above is just a baby step - any app developer can set an app_mobile_name and have their app do what sticky does.
