Re: IRC Server

Ive run an IRC off my home Server here before without any problem, they generate bugger all bandwidth. As for how do you get started, that depends on entirely who the network you want to support is and what software they use because there are a load of different IRCDs and Services around

Re: IRC Server

The server is: irc.p2pchat.net
the software is: Unreal3.2.4

If i use my home computer as a server, everytime i reboot the computer, everyone connected to my server would get disconnected ... right?

I wouldn't reboot much, but i'd have to after windows updates etc ...

That's one reason...

However, you can minimise the effect by rebooting the server when there is likely to be few users. That's what (I believe) Paul M does here, although this site isn't running on Windows.
