laptop battery time display?

laptop battery time display?
on my laptop when i hover over the batery inficator it only says like erm 99% remaining on windows xp but at school on the laptops when i hover over it it says 99% remaining 2 hours 50 mins how can i get my pc to show the time as well?

I use my lappy, but I cannot find that option in any of my settings

Perhaps its a bios power management thing my work Dell does it on W2K, while the XP Pro Thinkpad in the department dosnt. Both are fully patched up.

My XP Pro thinkpad does  Maybe it is a bios option somewhere then, Never looked to be honest.

Try pressing Escape repeatedly when you see the Toshiba logo.
My sister's Toshiba machine used to access the Bios that way.

i do have SP2 and have an Acer TravelMate 2700 i was just wondering if there was any software i could use but oh well thanks for the reply's :-)

I've mentioned this about 4 times in the last two weeks for different things !
I use Yahoo Wdgets. Basically its a small .exe install and there are over 2000 widgets you can use. Some of them are laptop tools for wireless strength and battery power etc...... There are loads of different ones which should suit your needs.
