wireless router and ntl

Hi there i have a peak wireless router model arm914.

I have been using it with ntl cable modem broadband fine for months until the last few days where the router cannot obtain an ip address from the modem.

I can connect to the internet directly if i connect to the modem via ethernet but not via the router any ideas.

thanks

Re: wireless router and ntl

How is your router set up? Did you specify an IP within the routers' settings?
Have you tried powering everything off,
power up the SACM
wait for the lights to lock
power up the router
wait for the lights to lock/ settle
power up the pc.

Re: wireless router and ntl

I had the same problem just before Xmas. Like you the router, an SMC7004ABR, had been working ok for months then it suddenly stopped during the night. I tried all the usual fixes like powering off the router but it still didn't work. In the end it turned out that I needed to re-clone the mac address.
