Re: Realplayer 10 basic problem
works fine using real on a mac, have just tried a couple of things and streaming away as should be, so i guess that eliminates a problem on the bbc side of things...

Re: Realplayer 10 basic problem
mess with your proxies, real player has its own proxy options.

Re: Realplayer 10 basic problem
That's not an error. That is a link to the actual video.

That link works Ok for me, David, although I'm using Media Player Classic to play Real files (Real Player is _not_ something I want want on a machine of mine), except that there's a space in the version you posted. If you pasted that from the original link, that's why you can't connect.

Re: Realplayer 10 basic problem
You need the Real Alternative player, David - it's Media Player Classic (usually the current version) with Real codecs incorporated. You can have it installed as well as a stand-alone version on MPC, or just have the Real Alternative version. There's also a Quick Time Alternative version, so many people have that and the Real version installed.
Then depending on the browser you use, you need either to change the default Real files player to Real Alternative player, or delete the Real Player entry and let the browser ask you which player to use next time you click on a Real file.
