A simple guide to PC ports

I have created a simple guide to the ports on a PC. I have created a link to it on my website so that any improvements made make life easier.

Could this be made a sticky post

Re: A simple guide to PC ports

Looks goood. Will certainly help some people out.

Also worth mentioing is the newer video ports on some graphics cards that allow DVI.

Re: A simple guide to PC ports

BTW Contructive Critiscism here: Video Port is DB-15 not DB9-15

http://searchsmb.techtarget.com/sDef...860644,00.html

DB-9 is a 9 pin Serial Port, DB-15 is a 15-pin Video Port (usually anyway)

Re: A simple guide to PC ports

Again constructivly, is that a firewire socket photographed from the back. Also Firewire has a logo, like USB does, it could be good to add that to the document.

...and there are actually two types of Firewire sockets, 4-pin and 6-pin.

Also, it would be a lot better to have it as an HTML file, or even a PDF, rather than a Word file. Word itself can probably export to HTML so that you can put it on the website.

Well done, though

I've put up two versions .DOC & . PDF

The PDF's hyperlinks don't work (I used a free PDF converter via print)
