Help think i've broken something on my PC badly....
Hi, i'm really worred i might have done something silly....
When i got my PC i noticed it had some sort of card reader on the front, but assumed i'd never need to use it so i've never really thought much of it.
But just now, i was looking at it and noticed one of the hole insert thingys said SD/MMC on it, so i put my phone's memory card in.
My computer didn't do anything, and nothnig shows in 'my computer', but now there is no way to get it out.
Please can someone help me. My computer is a Time PC, not sure what model, and can't make sense of 'system information' to find out...
Please help...

Your sim card is smaller than a SD so tilting rhe PC forward it might slip out.

Hiya, theres no flaps or anything its just a section on the front of my tower under the floppy disc drive with space for about 4 different cards, such as SD/MMC, Smartmedia, CF/MD and Memory Stick/ PRO.
In 'My Computer' its got the drives C & D, then its got removable discs E, F, G and H.

It wasn't my SIM card it was my memory card, it fits perfectly. I thought all memory cards for phones and cameras were a SD/MMC thats why i put it in..

Make sure its not on a spring clip.some card readers latch onto the cards try pressing it in(carefully as to not lose it totally) it may well pop out.
You memory card will be one of the removeable drives

I can't get to it now it's pushed in too far for my nail to get to it. I'm thinking it's a bit stupid that they would make it like that as surely it should have a button like the floppy drive?

Don't you have someone local you can ask to have a look, it's a bit difficult for us to help you via the web.

Re: Help think i've broken something on my PC badly....
Use a knife, butter knife that is or something else similarly thin, wedge it in above the card, get a bit of downward force on it and gently pull it out.

Not without paying out money....
I just don't understand this, its a pretty simple thing to do, put a memory card in a memory card slot, i just don't know why an expensive computer would just swallow it like that?? There must be a way to solve this? And surely it must have happened before?

Also, how come the memory card isn't showing on my computer? I put it in with the chips toward the back of the pc and downwards.?????

have u tried picking up the pc and tilting it so the card falls out....obviosly don't shake it too much, but a little shake might be enough for it to fall out
