Re: laptop wont boot?

Thanks, not seen it new though for £83 only for that price on Ebay?

I'm thinking of getting the laptop back and just selling either as a whole and let someone else buy and fit the board themself or sell it as spares or as a shell as it is.

We talked about getting a new laptop a while ago so looks like this is the push to get one

Re: laptop wont boot?

Yeah that's what I'd do, sell it for spares or repair, and put the money towards a new one. Spending £160 on a 2½ year old laptop is way too much to pay out, especially if something else wears out on it. Buy a new one, with a warranty.

Re: laptop wont boot?

Yeah I think you are right I will...I did think well if I ordered the board and he fits it and it still doesn't work because when the GPU went on it, it might have damaged something else I dont really want to take the risk.

I was told it was a pretty good laptop shape wise so I'm thinking of putting it on Ebay as it is and let someone else who knows how to take a laptop apart and replace a board. lucky for them if they get it working.

Re: laptop wont boot?

you will get more for it if you strip it down and sell the parts. Even screen bezels sell as well as the screen the case the wireless etc
