Re: Windows 8 Release Preview
Nope not touching it because of the Metro UI if I wanted a tablet interface I would buy a tablet, but as I don't want that interface I won't be using it or getting it.

So what extra functions / features does it give YOU that you don't already have?

Re: Windows 8 Release Preview
I'm due a reformat pretty soon so I'll probably give it a try, I'm always up for new things.

Re: Windows 8 Release Preview
Will never use it as long as they force the metro interface on you
Going to stay with Windows 7 and Mint Linux

Stick it in Virtualbox instead so you don't lose a decent OS
Will try out the next preview version just so I can keep up to date with changes but unlike Windows 7 where I started using it over Vista as soon as it hit beta, I'm not going anywhere near W8 if I can help it
Luckily, even if I need to get a new PC at some point in the future, I've got a full retail copy of W7 so will be able to put that back on.

Re: Windows 8 Release Preview
I am planning on buying an SSD in the coming weeks as the prices are tumbling so i may give it a go on there, even though i am happy with Windows 7.
However if i can buy the full version for £45 again like 7 i will probably pick it up, just may not use it.

Last I checked Virtualbox causes you to lose touch input and most hardware sensors, which defeats most of the point of the new interface.
