crapware is and even if uninstalled continues to be corruption. Not all but most. I doubt an average user would want to starting editing/deleting which supports your most average users not wanting to go to such lengths however a fresh install (down-burn-install) is much easier and efficient.

Still failing to see how a registry key can impair performance if nothing is referencing it, or a DLL if nothing has loaded it... If you have removed the software that should be sufficient, unless the software does not remove properly.
